Self-isolate for 10 days & book a test

You or the person you are checking for has COVID-19 symptoms.

Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital if symptoms are manageable

What are the next steps?

To help us better protect those with more severe symptoms, these are the actions you need to take:

  1. Self-Isolate for 10 days: Do not leave your home for 10 days from when your symptoms started, however mild they are. Read our self-isolation guide
  2. Book a test: You should book a test immediately at
  3. Ask friends for help: Ask a family member or friend to deliver essential items, such as food and medication.
  4. Ring the Community Helpline: If you need help, please contact the community helpline on 0808 802 0020.

Help from the Department for Communities for those who are struggling financially as a result of being told to self-isolate
