Self-isolate for 10 days & book a test
You or the person you are checking for has COVID-19 symptoms.
Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital if symptoms are manageable
What are the next steps?
To help us better protect those with more severe symptoms, these are the actions you need to take:
- Self-Isolate for 10 days: Do not leave your home for 10 days from when your symptoms started, however mild they are. Read our self-isolation guide
- Book a test: You should book a test immediately at https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing-and-tracing/get-a-test-to-check-if-you-have-coronavirus/
- Ask friends for help: Ask a family member or friend to deliver essential items, such as food and medication.
- Ring the Community Helpline: If you need help, please contact the community helpline on 0808 802 0020.
